Lofer lies nestled by the Loferer, the Reither and the Leoganger Steinberge mountains, at the confluence of the major valley routes between Salzburg to the North, Saalfelden and Zell am See to the South and Kitzbuhel and Innsbruck to the West. The village of Lofer itself lies at just over 600m altitudes, the surrounding Steinberge mountains, are an accessible range of peaks of around 2500m. Only a short distance away is Austria's highest peak the Grossglockner, at a height of 3797m.

We can provide airport transfers upon request for Salzburg, we recommend train/taxi or car rental from Munich unless large group booking.

For those of you travelling by road, the drive from Britain although long is mainly on fast toll free motorways.

There is also a good bus service through Lofer, linking Salzburg and Zell am See, also to Kitzbuhel and Tyrolean villages. The train station can be reached by bus at the delightful town of Bad Reichenhall where other destinations can be easily reached.

Lofer has two banks with cash machines, numerous internet points, library and several large supermarkets.
